Privacy Policy

In short
- This site sets no cookies.
- There is no advertising and no marketing tracking of any kind.
- Anonymous visitor statistics are collected only if you allow them, and you can change your mind at any time at the bottom of this page.
- There are no accounts or forms. Nothing you do here is sold or shared for profit.
1. Who is responsible
This website, La Croyance, is the personal portfolio of Adomas Labutis, based in Vilnius, Lithuania. I am the controller of any personal data processed through it. For anything about your data, write to hello@lacroyance.eu.
2. When you visit: hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. To deliver a page to your browser — and to keep the site secure and protected from abuse — Vercel necessarily processes technical information about each request, such as your IP address, your browser and device type, the address you requested, the page you came from, and the time.
This is required for the site to work at all. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel processes this data on my behalf and keeps it for a limited period under its own policies.
3. Analytics — only with your permission
If you allow analytics, the site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. If you do not, the analytics script is not loaded at all.
It sets no cookies. According to Vercel, visitors are not tracked across websites, the data is anonymous and used only for aggregated statistics, and a visitor is recognised only by a hash created from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours. For each page view it may record:
- the time, and the page you viewed
- the page that referred you, and filtered link parameters
- approximate location (country, region, city)
- your operating system, browser and device type, with versions
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time without affecting anything collected before. Because this data is anonymous and not linked to you, I generally cannot find or hand over data about you specifically. See Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation.
4. What is stored on your device
No cookies are used. The site saves two small settings in your browser’s local storage, so it can remember choices you made:
- Your cookie and analytics choice, so you are not asked again on every visit.
- Your accessibility settings — text size, grayscale, contrast, background, underlined links and a more readable font — if you change them.
These stay on your device and are never sent to me. They are strictly necessary to provide what you asked for, and they remain until you change them or clear your browser’s site data.
5. If you email me
If you write to hello@lacroyance.eu, I receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to include. I use it only to reply and to handle any work we discuss, and keep it for as long as that takes. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering you, or taking steps you asked for before we agree to work together (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
6. Links to other websites
The site links to my profiles on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Behance, and to the App Store. Nothing is loaded from those sites while you are here, and no data is sent to them unless you follow a link. Once you do, their own privacy policies apply.
Fonts, images, animations, 3D models and video are all served from this site itself, not from third-party services.
7. Where data is processed
Vercel Inc. is based in the United States and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Vercel states that it relies on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses to protect such transfers. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data held about you
- have it corrected, or deleted
- restrict or object to how it is used
- receive it in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing relies on it
To use any of these, email hello@lacroyance.eu. There is no automated decision-making or profiling on this site, and it is not intended for children.
9. Complaints
If you think your data has been mishandled, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in Lithuania, the State Data Protection Inspectorate, L. Sapiegos g. 17, LT-10312 Vilnius — or to the authority where you live.
10. Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles data changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
Your analytics choice
Allow or turn off anonymous analytics for this browser. Your choice takes effect immediately. You can also change it at any time from the cookie icon at the foot of the site’s side menu.
